Everyone has their own truth. You and I could witness something and you go in a room and explain what you saw, and I can go in a room and explain what I saw, and it may be two very different versions. This woman did a TED Talk and they showed a tape of somebody running a stop sign causing an accident. Depending on how the questions were asked regarding what they saw, it affected the responses. That was informative to me to be very careful what I say because I am affecting the dialog and the language. You have to be very careful when you talk and what you say. The lady asked, “When the guy ran the yield sign,” now everyone sees it as a yield sign. It was a stop sign, but it depends on what you say. Every word I say is going to affect what the person’s thinking and the dialog, so I’m very careful. ~ Rafael Sharón, NCPsyA, SCPsyA, Psychoanalyst in Princeton NJ
